Studworks is run by one person. This page explains what this site collects and what happens to it. If anything here is unclear, email studworkshq@outlook.com.
The email list
When you sign up, I get your email address and the time you signed up. The list is kept by Buttondown, the service that sends Studworks emails. Your address goes from this site straight to Buttondown and isn’t stored anywhere else.
You’ll get one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else is sent until you click the link in it.
After that, the list is used only for Studworks news, such as new releases and product updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Studworks emails don’t track whether you open them or click their links.
I don’t sell or share the list. Buttondown’s privacy policy covers how it handles your address.
The list is for people aged 13 and older.
Cookies
While the site is in preview it sets one cookie, sw_preview, so you only type the preview password once. It lasts 30 days. The site has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
The support chat keeps your conversation in your browser’s session storage, so it follows you from page to page. It’s gone when you close the tab.
Support chat
The chat is answered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Each message you send goes to Anthropic so it can write a reply, under its privacy policy. Don’t type passwords or payment details into the chat.
To keep the chat fair, the site counts how many messages each visitor sends in a day. It counts by a scrambled code made from your IP address, never the address itself, and the counts are deleted after about 30 days.
If the assistant can’t help, it emails your chat to me so I can answer. If it blocks someone for abuse, it keeps the chat that led to the block for about 30 days, so it can be checked if they appeal.
Server logs
The company that hosts this site may keep basic request logs, such as IP address, browser type and time, to keep the site secure and running.
Buying Cashier
Cashier v3 is sold through Stripe. When you buy, Stripe handles your payment and card details under its own privacy policy. This site only asks Stripe whether your order was paid, so it can give you the download.
If you pre-order, the site emails your download link once, at launch, to the address you paid with. The site’s emails, including support chats sent to me, go out through Resend under its privacy policy.
Earlier versions of Cashier were sold through Gumroad, under Gumroad’s privacy policy.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email. To see what I hold about you, or to have it deleted, email studworkshq@outlook.com and I’ll answer within 30 days.
